Psychotherapist

Hi there, I'm Chelsea! My name is Chelsea Singleton. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a particular focus on trauma work. I use a variety of modalities and interventions to meet the needs of my clients regardless of what they are facing. My approach I tend to use combinations of approaches in order to meet the unique needs of each client. I particularly lean more towards DBT, CBT, Trauma Informed, and Internal Family Systems. My focus I have experience working with both mandated and nonmandated clients. I have also worked with individuals struggling with Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, Trauma/PTSD, and more. My communication style I am very casual and laid back. Whatever helps the clients to feel at ease is what I try to go for. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been a "helper" of sorts. I've always been drawn in the direction of helping others, even when there has been no personal gain. I started my journey in 2013 towards obtaining my degree in Social Work and continued towards getting my Master's in Social Work from Troy University in 2018, graduating in 2019 with a focus on Clinical Social Work. I am now pursuing my Doctorate in Social Work so that I can participate in conducting research and assist in creating a more socially just society. My goals for you As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, my approach to goal-setting with clients is collaborative and client-centered. I begin by creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings. Together, we explore the challenges they're facing and identify areas they wish to change or improve. Throughout the process, I emphasize the client's autonomy and strengths, encouraging them to take an active role in setting and pursuing their goals. We regularly review and adjust these goals to reflect any changes in their circumstances or priorities.
