Carl Jung once wrote, “Where your fear is, there is your task.” As a therapist, I have found that the things we most avoid confronting often offer the greatest insight into how we can heal. Confronting ourselves can be terrifying—from negative beliefs about ourselves to chronic dissatisfaction with life, work, relationships, trauma, transitions, loss, or personal struggles we silently wrestle with. Our belief in our capacity to overcome these challenges and create a valued life can make all the difference in taking the first step toward healing. When disconnected from ourselves due to struggles, it can be hard to remember the inherent strength and resilience we all possess. To confront ourselves and our greatest challenges, above all, we need to feel safe. My primary goal is to create a calm, trusting therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to express themselves genuinely and without judgment. As a therapist, I am warm, empathic, genuine, and fully present during sessions, focused on your care between them. I respect the diversity of each client’s needs and tailor treatment accordingly. I draw upon evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy, to provide concrete skills and strategies to enhance coping and alleviate symptoms. I combine this with insight-oriented approaches to help clients identify and address root causes, facilitating deeper insight and healing. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University, equipping me with the knowledge and training to support clients through their healing journeys with competence and compassion.

What should a new client know about working with you?

With almost a decade of clinical experience across a range of treatment settings, my therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative and grounded in evidence based and insight-oriented approaches (including CBT, DBT, ACT and humanistic therapies). I work together with you to identify the root causes of what’s been keeping you stuck, while supporting you in learning new and healthier ways to cope that will help you move forward. My background encompasses working across a variety of settings, including private practices, college counseling centers, residential treatment facilities, community mental health centers, hospitals and schools. I have experience with treating individuals across the lifespan, of varying races, ethnicities, gender/sexual identities, and sexual orientations. Prior to starting my own telehealth practice, I most recently practiced for four years as a postdoctoral fellow and then staff clinician at Upper West Side Therapy Group in Manhattan. My current focus is on treating adults (with focused experience treating young adults between their 20's and 40's) who are navigating coping with life transitions, work stressors, relationship challenges and traumatic events.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My therapeutic approach is rooted in providing support, guidance and genuine care. My greatest priority is making sure that you feel safe and understood as you work to heal and move forward. Treatment will always be racially and culturally sensitive, as well as individualized to best meet each client's needs and personal goals. If you feel like us working together could be a good fit, please don't hesitate to reach out! I am currently accepting new clients statewide in New York, with evening and daytime appointments available. Please note that at present, only virtual services are being offered.
