Getting to know Cheryl Lucas

Hi, my name is Cheryl Lucas, and I am a licensed clinical and macro social worker. I earned my Master of Social Work from Wayne State University in 2006. I have been practicing for over 25 years in a variety of settings with individuals experiencing a wide range of life challenges. I am certified to provide clinical supervision for new social workers in preparation for licensure, as well as coaching and mentoring. Over the course of my career, I have learned to navigate, support, and guide others through issues such as feeling overwhelmed, stress and anxiety, life changes such as health, wellness/illness, aging, grief and loss, caregiving for children, for disabled family members, for aging family members, and other events/behaviors/illnesses/disabling conditions. An area of special interest is specific to girls and women, such as pregnancy, fertility, post-partum, perimenopause, menopause, physical/mental/emotional changes, and hormones, creating a circle of women-let’s talk about it. Everyone needs a little help now and then, someone to listen objectively and without judgment, offering guidance and support while finding our way to navigate the challenges that are a part of life.
