Hi there, I'm Cheryl! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor in the State of Indiana. I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana State University and have been practicing for over 30 years across multiple states. I practice in a very client-centered manner, meeting each individual where they are and working from there. My goal is to help you clarify what you want to achieve and find realistic ways to move forward. My approach My style is supportive, trauma-informed, and eclectic. I have skills related to CBT, DBT, and Harm Reduction. I work with a wide variety of patients from diverse backgrounds and am culturally sensitive and open to all LGBTQ+ issues. My focus I work with individuals ages 13 through elderly. Common concerns include depression, anxiety, difficult transitions, and trauma-related issues. My communication style I strive to be supportive and encouraging, ensuring that help truly feels like help. My journey to mental healthcare I initially trained in film with plans to make documentaries and change the world. It quickly became clear that the most significant work I could do was to help make the world safer and better for individuals, one at a time. I have always loved being a therapist and cherish the privilege of sparking hope and positive action in others.
