Life knocks us down, but it doesn’t have to keep us there. At Still Standing Counseling, I help adults facing anxiety, grief, trauma, or major life stressors feel like themselves again. My goal is to help you find balance, humor, and hope—even when the road’s been rough. My approach Therapy with me is a real conversation—honest, practical, and grounded in everyday life. I believe in creating a space where you can drop the mask, talk openly, and reconnect with who you are beneath the stress and survival mode. Together, we’ll look at what’s been holding you back and find realistic ways to move forward at your own pace. My focus My ideal clients are adults who’ve been through tough seasons—grief, trauma, anxiety, or major life transitions—and are ready to start healing. Many have spent years taking care of others or pushing through, only to realize they’ve lost touch with themselves. I help clients slow down, reconnect, and rediscover their confidence and purpose. My communication style My communication style is warm, honest, and straightforward. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe to be completely themselves, so I create an atmosphere that’s calm, respectful, and judgment-free. I listen closely, reflect what I hear, and offer feedback that’s both compassionate and practical. Humor often finds its way into sessions. My journey to mental healthcare My passion for counseling began after witnessing addiction in my own family, which inspired me to support others in recovery in correctional and outpatient settings. Later, as the mother of a child with a life-threatening illness, I learned the importance of resilience—and now help families facing medical or emotional crises find hope and healing. My goals for you I help clients identify what healing and progress mean for them—whether it’s managing anxiety, strengthening relationships, or rebuilding confidence. Together, we set small, realistic goals that encourage consistency and growth.
