Cheyenne Romero, LCSW

Cheyenne Romero, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Southern California and work with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adolescents and adults of all ages and specialize in anxiety, depression, life transitions, and stress. I use an integrative approach, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy, to help my clients feel comfortable and make progress. My approach My integrative therapy approach allows me to meet the individual needs of each client. I frequently use a blend of several therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Strength-Based Therapy. I believe these approaches allow me and the client to understand their reality and work together to create new positive outcomes. My focus I work with a variety of clients who are facing life’s challenging transitions and are experiencing anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and stress. I work with my clients to provide education and develop more effective coping skills to decrease the intensity and frequency of their symptoms and create a more positive outlook on life. My communication style In my sessions, I strive to foster a warm and empathetic environment. My communication style is calm and personable because I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything. I believe a casual, down-to-earth approach works best. I often use humor and silly metaphors to build rapport. Clients often describe the atmosphere as supportive, non-judgmental, and collaborative. My journey to mental healthcare I decided to become a therapist because I saw how much therapy helped me with my anxiety when I was a teenager. It’s amazing to me, both having been a client and being a therapist, how powerful the therapeutic relationship can be. We’re able to unlock so much of ourselves. I’ve always enjoyed helping people and seeing them accomplish their goals.
