Getting to know Chloe Kinman

If you’re someone who tends to put others first, feels responsible for keeping the peace, or struggles with a quiet but constant sense of not being “enough,” you’re not alone and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in both California and Washington. My work is grounded in creating a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood especially if you’ve spent much of your life minimizing your needs or pushing through pain. I earned my Master of Social Welfare from UCLA and have worked with individuals navigating anxiety, self-doubt, relationship challenges, life transitions, complex trauma, and chronic health conditions. I particularly love working with people experiencing chronic illness or deep fatigue, helping them rebuild trust with their body and their inner resilience. In therapy, I help clients untangle the patterns that keep them stuck in people-pleasing, hypervigilance, and self-criticism. I draw from EMDR, polyvagal theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and nervous system–informed approaches to support healing at both the cognitive and body-based levels. Our work is collaborative, paced, and deeply respectful of your lived experience.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is compassionate and collaborative, drawing from evidence-based methods like EMDR, polyvagal theory, CBT, and nervous system regulation to help you re-connect to yourself and heal.

I am so lucky to have worked with Chloe over the past few years. She has truly changed my life in all the best ways. She is incredibly supportive but also challenges you to question your patterns of behavior and dig deep to understand underlying motivations.
I've been seeing Chloe for 8 months and couldn't recommend her more highly. She's practical, solution-focused, and gives you real tools you can actually use - exactly what I was looking for!
As someone who was new to therapy before seeing Chloe, she has been transformative for my therapy experience—which has inherently changed my life. She's a very warm, kind presence who has always felt like an almost older sister. But that doesn't underscore the level of smarts and insights that she brings to every session. I cannot recommend Chloe enough, especially for those who are starting therapy for the first time.
I like that Chloe repeats what I am saying to make sure she understands my feelings before commenting on it or giving guidance. I like that she listens to my needs and is always open to change the session plans if I have something else I need to talk about that week. I think she is very knowledgeable about mental health and the nervous system. She is very warm, encouraging, and easy to open up to because you get the sense that she cares deeply for her clients and truly wants to see them heal.
Chloe is a breath of fresh air! I have tried a few different therapists but really have not connected with anyone like I have with Chloe. She makes me feel comfortable, supported, and challenged. I leave all of our sessions feeling regulated and with a back pocket of little tools I can use throughout my life. Chloe doesn’t make me feel like any topic is too big or small. She constantly reminds me of my growth and celebrates my wins with me . As a single young female, I could not recommend someone better!
I can honestly say that Chloe has supported me in becoming my truest self… a version of me I didn’t think I’d ever know. I have been through a lot of trauma in my life, as well as several years of therapy, but in the year I’ve spent with Chloe, I’ve experienced the most fulfilling growth and am trusting myself for the first time. Chloe creates such a safe and authentic environment, and from the moment we met, I instantly felt that she was here to support me in my journey at a pace that felt right for me. It is apparent that she really cares about her patients and is meant to do this work. I’m so grateful for the life-changing opportunity I’ve had in working with Chloe and have set a new foundation that will positively and profoundly alter the rest of my life. Goodbye fear of the difficult past or unknown future, and hello to the palpable present and enjoying the ride along the way!
I’ve been seeing Chloe for over 3 years now and she has helped me navigate huge life changes. Chloe is thoughtful, insightful, and is incredibly innovative in how she approaches CBT and trauma therapy. Would recommend a thousand times over.
I have been seeing Chloe for several years now. I’m so grateful to have found her, she has helped me grow so much. I always feel encouraged and often leave sessions feeling much better than when I started. She has truly been a lifesaver and I can’t imagine how different my life would be if I never started sessions with her.
I started seeing Chloe in July of last year and it is without a doubt one of the best decisions I have ever made. As someone who has gone to therapy a few times throughout her life, I know how important it is to find the right therapist and I can definitely say I have found that in Chloe. She is kind, thoughtful, and always professional. She brings a sense of comfort to our sessions that makes it easy to be vulnerable and open. She also has the perfect balance of emotional understanding with a clinical approach to our discussions. She makes me feel seen with what I am feeling, but helps me understand what’s happening both mentally and physically from a clinical perspective so it becomes easier to manage. She also has provided me with tools and materials to use outside of our sessions for further progress which was a game changer. I honestly couldn’t say enough amazing things about Chloe, so if any of this speaks to what you are looking for, I highly recommend connecting with her!
