“Chris does a great job. After 18 months, my initial problems have gone away, so we are on kind of a maintenance program which is easy going, calming, and helpful. He helps me articulate important things that are not top of mind. He is irreplaceable.”

Getting to know Chris Bartkowiak

Listening is an art form. From traditional counseling to life coaching and mindfulness, I try to make each session unique depending on what you need. I draw on my extensive life experience plus thousands of hours with clients to help you. Please feel free to look at my profile on Psychology Today and my website chriscoachingandcounseling.com for more info. I have been around the block. From being a Polish immigrant at age 6, veteran, ex-police officer, ex-sales rep, divorced twice, father of adult twins, living with PTSD, experiencing numerous friend and family losses, plus surviving a serious pulmonary embolism in 2015 that required 7 days in intensive care—I can draw on those life experiences to assist you. I work with adult clients only. I recently moved to the western mountains of North Carolina, the Asheville area, where I mountain bike and play chess. Unfortunately, I can only do virtual or phone sessions with clients in Florida. Even though I have been through and heard so much from my clients, I enjoy being alive and experiencing the wonder of nature around me. I hold an MEd in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Florida.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
