Christal Satchell-Ward, A resident of Florida, serves as the clinical director, owner, and cofounder of The Dwelling Place Counseling Center. Inspired by her faith and her roles as a mother and wife, she established a family-oriented practice aimed at facilitating healing from past traumas and enhancing individual living, marriages, relationships, and family dynamics. This vision led to the creation of The Dwelling Place Counseling Center. Christal holds a master's degree in mental health and marriage and family counseling from Webster University in Ocala, Florida, and has dedicated her career to assisting individuals from diverse backgrounds in overcoming life challenges. She is humbled in the fact that she has the amazing opportunity to lead a committed team of professionals focused on addressing the root causes of trauma and connecting to the mission of "Bringing Healing Home."

Welcome! I'm Christal, and it's a pleasure to have you here. As the clinical director of The Dwelling Place Counseling Center Inc., a trauma-informed family care practice in Florida, I lead a dedicated team of professionals committed to helping individuals, couples, and families tackle the underlying issues related to trauma rather than merely addressing the symptoms. If you're facing challenges like anxiety or depression, struggling in your relationships or marriage, or finding it tough to navigate parenting or co-parenting in a blended family, you've found the right support. We're here to help you through these difficulties.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I specialize in the "tough stuff" and make it my goal to help my clients do their work as they navigate through life's challenges. As a licensed mental health counselor, and marriage and family therapist my specialties include Stress Management, Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Issues, Trauma and Abuse, Self esteem, and more. In this safe you are not just another client with just another issue. While you are working with me I want to help support you weekly until you feel that you have thoroughly accomplished your therapeutic goals. It takes courage to seek help for a more fulfilling and happier life. If you are ready, so am I.
