Psychotherapist
WA
Taking the first step to reach out for therapy can be really difficult, and I understand the courage it takes to come this far. Whether you are navigating individual struggles or relationship challenges, I am here to provide safety and support to empower your growth and healing. My approach I specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT is an attachment-based model that focuses on how our early attachments with our caregivers shape our current relationships. I help couples learn how to communicate more effectively by talking about the root issue, and learn how to offer support to one another. My focus Are you feeling stuck in your relationship? Do you feel that too often your discussions turn into one of you shutting down, and one of you feeling ignored? Perhaps you are struggling with a life transition, stress, trauma, or need healthy coping skills. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey to health and wellness. My communication style One of the things I've held on to from growing up in Texas is my southern hospitality and "y'all." My communication style tends to be warm, gentle, and down-to-earth. I seek to collaborate with clients, offer non-judgmental support while always prioritizing emotional safety. My journey to mental healthcare I spent many years trying to hide that I was a sensitive soul. Then, I decided I would no longer hide my sensitivity, but instead embrace it. I decided to enter a career that would support my authentic self. I don't see myself changing one life at a time. My work has the potential to change generational patterns, and that is very rewarding. My goals for you Goals are developed early in the therapeutic process. Our work will focus on helping you meet your goals. Throughout the process, your goals may change, and together we will adjust your goals as needed. My priority is to help you achieve what is important to you.
