Counseling can be helpful when you feel stuck where you are and wish to improve your quality of life. I approach counseling as an opportunity to accelerate the growth required for that type of change. This begins with feeling understood and listened to. From there, we can build on your strengths to work toward your goals. I use techniques from a variety of therapeutic styles to best address my clients’ unique situations, which can ultimately help them get “unstuck.” I offer individual counseling to adults who wish to tackle struggles in their lives. This includes challenges with trauma, depression, anxiety, stress and life transitions, low self-esteem, suppression of self, dealing with chronic illness, pornography addiction, and relationship or peer difficulties. As a Christian, I understand how integral one’s beliefs can be. If you come from a faith tradition, we can discuss how best to integrate your beliefs into the counseling experience. For those who struggle with chronic illness, please know that I am familiar with the unique challenges such illness can create. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support my clients effectively. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, taking walks, reading, or watching quality anime.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I hold that each person is uniquely suited to be the expert of themselves. As such, you can expect from me genuine respect and acceptance. Everything you feel ultimately makes sense; uncovering why naturally brings insight and opportunity for growth and change. I have experience addressing trauma, anxiety, OCD, social anxiety, stress and life transitions, low self-esteem, suppression of self, dealing with chronic illness, and the struggles associated with being a highly sensitive person (HSP). As a Christian, I know how integral one’s beliefs can be. If you come from a faith tradition, we can discuss how best to integrate your beliefs in the counseling experience.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I approach counseling as an opportunity for accelerated growth. This begins with feeling understood and listened to. Counseling is, in part, a collaboration where I bring my expertise of counseling to the table and the client brings their expertise on their own life. From there, we can build on your strengths to work towards your goals... utilizing techniques from a variety of therapeutic styles to best understand and address my clients’ unique situations.
