Getting to know Christie Melonson

Welcome to my page! I am Christie Melonson, a therapist with almost 20 years of experience working with a variety of people to help them grow and reach their goals! I am a licensed professional counselor and supervisor in the state of Texas, and I hold a PhD in Organizational Leadership with a research background in multicultural leadership in behavioral health. I also have a background in leadership, teaching at the university level, and writing on self-help topics. My approach to therapy is empowering, respectful of my clients' values, spiritual and cultural backgrounds, and evidenced based. I am also trained in understanding personality types, and this helps me tailor my services to the needs of my clients. I specialize in the treatment of PTSD, trauma, anxiety disorders, general mental health, issues around life transitions, parenting, and career and educational issues. My clients describe me as compassionate and knowledgeable across a variety of areas. In my spare time, I enjoy a good cup of coffee, music of all types, singing, dancing, and international travel.
