"Hello! I'm Christie, and I'm delighted to meet you. I graduated in 2020 from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, with a Master's in Social Sciences Administration. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am independently licensed through the Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board (CSWMFT) in Ohio. My journey in mental health has been diverse and fulfilling, allowing me to work with a wide range of individuals and mental health conditions. My therapeutic philosophy centers around creating a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions. I believe in a collaborative approach, working together to identify your goals and develop strategies to achieve them. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or navigating life's transitions, I'm here to support you every step of the way. In my professional background, I've had the privilege of serving in community mental health as an intake worker, diagnosing and treating individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses. My experience spans helping individuals with anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders, grief and loss, veterans, LGBTQIA+ support, anger management, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, agoraphobia, OCD, bipolar I and II, trauma, early stages of dementia and Alzheimer's, and their caregivers who may be suffering from caregiver fatigue, TBIs, learning disabilities, and many other diagnoses. Additionally, I am trained as a Guardian ad Litem, forensic custody evaluator, and I do contract work for Level II PASRR reviews, assessing patients in psychiatric hospitals and units. In our sessions, you can expect a compassionate and empathetic approach tailored to your unique needs. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes in your life.
