What should a new client know about working with you?

You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself, speak openly, and feel genuinely heard. I believe therapy is a partnership. I’ll work with you—not simply tell you what to do—to understand the challenges you’re facing, recognize patterns that may be getting in the way, and find practical ways to move forward. Each session is tailored to your goals, needs, and strengths. Whether you’re working through anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, or a major life transition, you can expect compassion, respect, and evidence-based care. My hope is that you leave therapy feeling more understood, more confident, and better equipped to handle life’s challenges. You’re taking an important first step by being here, and you don’t have to take the next steps alone.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy starts with getting to know you—not just your symptoms. During our first few sessions, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope will be different. We’ll also explore your strengths, relationships, and the patterns that may be affecting how you’re feeling. From there, we’ll work together to create a personalized plan based on your goals and what feels most helpful to you. I use evidence-based approaches and practical strategies to help you better understand your emotions, manage challenges, improve relationships, and build confidence. As therapy progresses, we’ll regularly check in on your goals and adjust our approach as needed. My goal is for therapy to feel purposeful, collaborative, and tailored to you—not like a one-size-fits-all process.

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
  • Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront

More information on payments and coverage

I accept a variety of insurance plans and bill insurance directly for covered services. You are responsible for any copays, deductibles, coinsurance, or other patient balances required by your plan. If I am out of network with your insurance, I can help you use your out-of-network benefits by handling claim submission and billing on your behalf, making the reimbursement process as seamless as possible. I also offer a limited number of sliding-scale appointments for clients experiencing financial hardship. If you have questions about your insurance coverage, out-of-network benefits, or payment options, please feel free to reach out before your first appointment.
