Getting to know Christina Burnett

My name is Christina Burnett and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Penn State University, University Park, PA in 2010. In 2017, I received my master’s degree in social work from the University of New England, Biddeford, ME. While obtaining my master’s degree I began my counseling career in 2015 in community mental health and substance abuse treatment assisting and advocating for adult men and women who were involved in the criminal and family court systems. After graduating from the University of New England, I obtained my LSW in April of 2018 and began my clinical supervision. In June of 2020, I passed the Pennsylvania Board of Social Work’s licensure exam and obtained my LCSW (#CW021224). In 2018 I also acquired my Level One certification in cognitive behavioral therapy from the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists. My experience in the field of mental health includes helping adult clients navigate life transitions, substance use/abuse/dependence, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, and stress associated with legal/work issues. My clinical orientation is client-centered focusing on cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, empowerment, and solution-focused approaches. I am truly passionate about the counseling field and sincerely look forward to having a collaborative, therapeutic relationship with you to find solutions and relief to obtain better mental wellness.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Absolutely amazing I would recommend more people to her! She’s simply outstanding
Christine is amazing, her direct and authentic approach allows me to get the most from sessions. She’s also very relatable and inviting which allows me to be completely open and honest.
Christina has opened my eyes to a new way of day to day thinking which has allowed me to deal with my anxiety and my stress. She has helped me unlock parts of my being that continues to make me a better person and helps me with my issues of self assurance and self esteem. I make sure to do the work as well. She provides great homework that forces me to think when I'm not in session and we have great discussion even though its not always what I want to hear she keeps it real and it ultimately is what I need to hear to make me better.
I would recommend her to anyone. She’s just a very understanding person and doesn’t judge you for who you are/ what you have been through. She helps with a lot.
C. Burnett is amazing, I feel like I can be my true self. I don’t feel she is judging. She challenges me to be my best self and provides a variety of resources. I highly recommend!
