“Christina is a warm and welcoming person. She is extremely well read in general and well versed in trauma informed, modern theraputic techniques. Her insights and recommendations have been invaluable to me in discovering what has been holding me back from healing and living my life with full confidence. I was skeptical going in due to prior experience with uncaring therapists and therapists who seemed more entertained by my stories than interested in helping. My experience with Christina has been eye opening and affirming on many deep, soul levels.”

Getting to know Christina Ferrara

Have you come to the realization that life can be better? Are you ready to embark on a journey to be the best version of yourself? I believe the core of therapy is to discover the blockages suffocating your authentic self. I am committed to supporting people in gaining a deeper understanding of root causes of behavior which can lead to addictions, obsessions, rumination, depression, anxiety, difficulty in relating to self and other, etc. When defenses can be acknowledged, held, and understood in a safe way with compassion have the potential to be transformed to reveal the authentic self! Are you ready to take the leap? If so, I truly look forward to working with you :)

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am passionate about supporting clients on their journey to understanding the nature of negative thinking and how those patterns of thinking wreak havoc on the mind, body and spirit. Using a holistic approach and various psychotherapy methods I help clients connect with the origin of thoughts, and help prepare clients to let go of the past to fully engage in the present. I use different approaches to support in untangling the intricate web of “poor thinking”; EMDR to process trauma, mindfulness based techniques to engage in the present, as well as somatic guidance on how to work with the body in the releasing of trauma in the body and how to engage in the present moment. If you feel called to work with me - take a deep breath :) and please do not hesitate to reach out!

Christina is wonderful! She is kind, empathetic and goes above & beyond to help in any way that she can. My daughter finds her extremely easy to talk to as she is very friendly and offers a safe and nonjudgemental space.
Christina was the perfect therapist for me! She was knowledgeable, compassionate, caring, spiritual and wise! I felt comfortable to share my thoughts and struggles without any judgment from her. She shared some very useful information/tools that I can apply daily. I highly recommend her!
Christina is a wonderful therapist with a real talent for helping people through trauma and anxiety. Not only is she very professional she is a great listener and an exceptionally kind person. My favorite thing about her is how she is open-minded about trying different techniques and gives you tools like yoga and great book recommendations to help you learn and grow. I really appreciate all that she's done for me.
Christine has been working with my son on his anxiety. Her communication has always been great, she is supportive, and always looking for solutions to problems that pop up. I am grateful to have her as part of our support system.
Christina is incredibly professional, kind and working with her has been transformative for my mental and spiritual wellbeing.
Thank you Christina for your patience, compassion, and understanding. A couple of sessions in and I can already see a positive difference in how I'm relating to my inner experience.
Christina listens to what you are feeling and really let’s you get everything out! She has a very gentle approach and has definitely helped me work through some tough issues.
I've been working with Christina for about a year now and have had wonderful success with her techniques in EMDR. She is a patient, attentive therapist and I highly recommend her, especially if you're focus is working through previous traumas and persistent thought pattern issues. Thank you for all your guidance Christina!
I've been with Christina now for about five months and it would not be hyperbole to say it's absolutely changed my life. I was reticent about therapy—absolutely a cynic and a grump—but I'm so thankful every day (1) I took this step for myself and (2) chose, somewhat at random, the most perfect therapist to help me through my life. Christina is caring and kind, without any of the saccharine I feared. She's offered actionable feedback and homework, which I took at first in baby steps and later in a full-on sprint. She's offered other readings and podcasts; she's offered to put me onto other forms of therapy with her guidance and recommendation. Above all else, she's just a superb listener. I don't repeat myself, or reintroduce characters in my life. It feels like she's as invested in this process as I am, and that helps all the anxiety, the angst, and the cynicism melt away. Do yourself the same favor and get to know Christina. It's changed my life.
Christina is a wonderful therapist. She is kind, knowledgable and a great listener. Would highly recommend her for anyone going through life adjustments.
Have really appreciated my time with Christina. I feel I lucked out being able to get an appointment and the practice taking my insurance. It's been about 2 months since I started -- and this is my first time doing therapy -- Christina has been a great intro to the possibilities of therapy. Christina has been thoughtful, open, and understanding. I also appreciate that she recognizes the value of meditation. I very much look forward to our sessions.
