Christina Gentry, LMFT

Psychotherapist
5887 Glenridge Dr, Sandy Springs, GA
I enjoy helping clients become healthier versions of themselves. Couples and individual partners often come for help with conflict, stress, anxiety, depression, defensiveness, low self-confidence, trauma, communication, and family of origin challenges. I often help women improve their sense of self and reduce problematic symptoms related to marital or relationship challenges by working through the aforementioned areas. I also help Christian clients overcome these challenges by integrating prayer and scriptures to support their goals. I received my degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in 2009. I am level-3 trained in the Gottman Method for couples therapy in pursuit of certification. I am a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, which allows me to integrate nutrition and lifestyle interventions to enhance my clients' health. I value the role of nutrition in mental health and life wellness, and I am currently a doctoral candidate for Integrative and Functional Nutrition. My approach to therapy is integrative in therapeutic techniques and functional with nutrition. I use CBT, Bowenian, Solution-Focused, Narrative, and Strengths-Based techniques. I approach couples therapy from a growth perspective while using the Gottman Method. I integrate nutrition-related information and techniques to improve mental health. For Christian clients, I use a non-denominational biblical approach rooted in a relationship with Jesus to enhance whole-person wellness.
