What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, ensuring that clients feel safe, supported, and truly seen as they navigate their healing journey. I have extensive experience working with individuals with ADHD, helping them understand how ADHD impacts their daily lives, relationships, and self-perception. In couples therapy, I support partners in recognizing and addressing the unique challenges ADHD can bring, including communication struggles, emotional regulation, and differing needs for structure and spontaneity. With specialized training in EMDR, I help individuals who have experienced sexual trauma and relational trauma process and heal from painful experiences that may still be affecting them. My work is informed by Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, DBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and The Gottman Method, allowing me to tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs. I also take a somatic approach, integrating the mind-body connection to support deeper healing. I bring warmth, openness, and acceptance to my sessions, prioritizing safety and respect in the therapeutic relationship so that clients feel comfortable being vulnerable. I firmly believe in meeting clients where they are, using their personal strengths to navigate life’s challenges and fostering growth in both individuals and relationships. I am an ally to BIPOC and the LGBTQ+ community and actively engage in my own anti-racism work to check my privilege, ensuring that my practice remains inclusive and affirming for all

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and I’m here to make the process as comfortable and supportive as possible. Our work together starts with a free 20-minute video consultation, where we’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and any questions you have about the process. This is a chance for us to see if we’re a good fit and for you to get a feel for my approach. In our first full session, we’ll dive deeper into your history, current challenges, and goals for therapy. I’ll ask about patterns in your relationships, how ADHD or past trauma may be impacting your life, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. This session is all about building a foundation of trust and understanding, so you feel safe and supported as we move forward. In ongoing sessions, we’ll take a collaborative approach, using research-backed methods like EMDR, IFS, CBT, and The Gottman Method to help you process emotions, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful change. Whether we’re working on healing from past trauma, improving communication in your relationships, or navigating ADHD-related challenges, each session will be tailored to your unique needs and goals. Therapy with me is a judgment-free, affirming space where we’ll focus on what matters most to you. If you’re ready to get started, let’s connect for a free consult and take the first step together
