Getting to know Christina Hust

I'm a Licensed Master Social Worker offering warm, person-centered, strengths-based therapy to clients ready to make real change. I earned my Master's degree from Binghamton University in 2017 and became licensed as an LMSW in 2022, and I am currently working toward my clinical licensure while continuing my professional growth. My experience includes working with at-risk youth and their families, crisis intervention for people struggling to process day-to-day emotions, adults on the autism spectrum, and children and adolescents building healthy emotional regulation skills. I have also supported older adults navigating a rapidly changing world, along with clients facing addiction, behavioral challenges, cognitive processing needs, and anger management. Whatever brings you to therapy, you can expect compassion, practical tools, and a genuine belief in your ability to grow. I would love the chance to work with you, book a session to get started.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you're free to express yourself openly. I meet you exactly where you are and tailor my approach to your needs, goals, and comfort level. My style is collaborative and grounded in respect: I believe therapy works best when you feel heard, understood, and empowered. I bring patience, curiosity, and a steady presence to every session, helping you build insight and develop practical tools you can use long after our work together ends.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together begins with getting to know you: your concerns, your history, and what you hope to achieve in therapy. Early sessions focus on building rapport and understanding the patterns, stressors, and life experiences that shape your current challenges. A typical session may include exploring emotions, practicing coping strategies, improving communication skills, or working through behavioral or relational patterns. I draw from strengths-based practice, solution-focused techniques, CBT principles, and crisis-informed approaches to support both insight and practical change. Throughout the process, I move at your pace, offering the guidance, structure, and support you need to grow. Ready to get started? I'd love to help, book a session whenever works for you.
