Getting to know Christina Marin

*Note that prior to the first session with the provider, LifeStance will require a credit card on file. *LifeStance providers do not accept Medicare or Medicaid insurance. If booking with these, you will be unable to be seen. Dr. Christina Marin accepts patients age 5 and above. Welcome! I am Christina, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Northridge. My goal as a therapist is to challenge everyone to view therapy as something enjoyable, inspiring, and life-changing. I enjoy working with a diverse population and utilize many therapeutic modalities. My style is to provide each client with a warm, inviting, safe, supportive, nonjudgmental, and empathic space to help them meet their personal goals. I take a holistic perspective on the experiences of human beings and view each person as a unique individual, bringing their own gifts and strengths. Although I use several therapeutic modalities, I focus my practice primarily on a psychodynamic approach, emphasizing unconscious processes as they manifest in an individual’s present behavior. This approach aims to increase self-awareness and understanding of how the past influences present behavior. It helps individuals find patterns in their emotions, thoughts, and beliefs to gain insight into their current self. The greatest part of my job is witnessing the progress and growth of each client. I’m excited to help you achieve your mental health goals and watch you progress and grow as well.
