“I have struggled finding a provider who I really clicked with. My previous specialists were more concerned with me sharing the exact back ground for the things I struggled with. Where Christina was able to find a workbook style of approach for working through my childhood and relationship hang ups and traumas. With out ever having to share the actual details. It made things more objective for me and helped change up my perspective and how I approach the way I think when I feel those resurface. She seems to genuinely understand things I'm going through at this stage of my life and has provided tips for over coming the intimidation or lack of motivation to make healthy changes. I would suggest her to anyone who is looking for a fresh perspective, or has had previous providers give feedback or take an approach that was not working for them. She responds well to hearing what does and does not work for you and does take time to try to find a different way.”

Getting to know Christina Salerno

If the voice in your head were a person, would you like them very much? It is my strong belief, supported by research, that many people who struggle with feelings of anxiety and depression also contend with a negative inner voice that keeps them from reaching their potential. Using my training in evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we will work together to silence that negative inner voice that has been directing your life. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Throughout my time as a counselor, I have worked in inpatient and outpatient facilities with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship issues, and trauma. Taking a person-centered approach, my role as a counselor is to help you gain insight into the root of the difficulties you are experiencing by creating a safe space.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Finding the right therapist that fits your needs can be difficult. After our first session, I always give clients the space to decide how they want to move forward. Once I begin seeing a client, I work to establish some treatment goals and check in on the clients progress regularly.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
