Getting to know Christina Spies

Hello and welcome. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in social work. I am an English speaker but understand Patoi as well. I have a particular focus and education in trauma treatment and substance use. I hold a license as a Clinical Addictions Specialist. I am trained in trauma interventions to include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). My theoretical background is heavily taken from attachment theories and the importance of recognizing relationships as necessary for healing and development. I also utilize Internal Family Systems dynamics interwoven throughout any of my therapeutic models. I look forward to working with individuals and couples as they strive to understand the concept of self and learn how to navigate the interactions that heavily rely on a whole self.
