Psychotherapist
LA
Hi there, I'm Christine! I am an LPC-S with a Master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. My approach to therapy is that you are the driver of the change you want to see-and I help you with the road map. My approach I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Trauma Processing, and Brainspotting. My focus I work with men and women who are struggling with depression, anxiety, or trauma. I also work with clients who are feeling stuck in their lives. My communication style I enjoy being creative. I think in pictures and use analogy or art. I provide narrative therapy and tons of reflective feedback so my clients feel heard. I sometimes use humor when appropriate. I also incorporate some positive psychology. My journey to mental healthcare For years, people told me I was very easy to talk to and a good listener, and they asked if I had ever thought about becoming a therapist. Even on my most challenging days, I find fulfillment in helping others feel better about themselves or their situations. My goals for you The client is the driver. I help them get there. My first session with you A first session will include a little bio about me and how I became a therapist. Other than that, it's going to focus on what brought you to treatment and what types of goals you have in mind. How do you feel treatment would look for you? What outcomes are you looking for?
