What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy is a courageous step, and I honor the trust you place in me. From our first session, you can expect a space that is supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. My approach is grounded in empathy and respect—I meet you where you are and work at a pace that feels right for you. I draw from evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and a Strengths-Based Perspective. That means we'll focus not only on what’s challenging, but also on your resilience, your goals, and your capacity to grow and heal. Whether you're dealing with everyday stress, anxiety, depression, or navigating a major life transition, my goal is to help you gain insight, learn effective coping tools, and improve your overall well-being. I also bring a culturally responsive lens to my work, and I strive to make therapy a safe space for all identities and lived experiences. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I welcome your feedback and input along the way. You don’t have to have it all figured out just be willing to show up. I’m here to walk alongside you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with creating a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported. In our first session, we’ll take time to explore what brings you to therapy whether it’s daily stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or relationship challenges. I’ll ask questions to better understand your goals, your strengths, and the challenges you’re facing. From there, we’ll work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your needs and values. I use a mix of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and a Strengths-Based Perspective, to help you build insight, gain new coping skills, and make meaningful changes. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. Some clients need a space to process and reflect; others come in looking for strategies and tools. Many want both—and that’s okay. We’ll check in regularly about what’s working and adjust as needed. I view therapy as a partnership. You bring your lived experience and expertise on your life; I bring clinical knowledge and a commitment to walking alongside you with empathy and intention.
