Getting to know Christine Etheridge

CHRISTINE ETHERIDGE, LPC-S Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or simply exhausted from trying to carry everything on your own? For more than 26 years, I have helped individuals, teens, and young adults navigate life's challenges with practical tools, honest conversations, and a supportive, judgment-free approach. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, self-esteem, life transitions, or simply feeling disconnected from the life you want to be living, therapy can help you regain clarity and confidence. My style is warm, collaborative, and solution-focused. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I am genuine, easy to talk to, and focused on helping them make meaningful progress rather than simply talking about problems week after week. I believe therapy should provide both support and practical strategies you can begin using immediately. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, crisis counseling, and private practice, giving me extensive experience supporting adolescents, adults, families, and individuals facing complex life circumstances. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), I am also committed to mentoring and developing future counselors, reflecting my dedication to ethical practice and professional growth within the counseling profession. I provide virtual counseling services throughout the state of Texas, allowing you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own home. Specialties include: • Anxiety and chronic stress • Panic attacks • Burnout and feeling stuck • Relationship challenges • Life transitions • Self-esteem and confidence • Teen and young adult concerns • Grief and loss • Communication skills • Women's issues Taking the first step can be difficult, but you don't have to figure everything out alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you work toward lasting change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if this is your first experience with counseling. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and never judged. With more than 26 years of experience, I understand that every client is unique. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I work collaboratively with you to understand your goals and develop practical strategies that fit your life. Many clients tell me they appreciate my down-to-earth style, honest feedback, and ability to help them make meaningful progress without feeling overwhelmed.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin identifying practical steps toward meaningful change. My approach is collaborative, solution-focused, and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while always adapting to your individual needs. I believe therapy should provide both support and practical tools, so you'll leave sessions with insights and strategies you can begin applying in your everyday life. As therapy progresses, we'll regularly evaluate your goals and celebrate the progress you're making together.
