For the past 20+ years, she has headed the Volunteer Money Management Program through DuPage County Senior Services. Supported by the state of Illinois, this program matches volunteers with low-income seniors and disabled adults under 60 who need help managing money. The program's focus is on keeping people in their homes. Christine trains, supervises, and matches volunteers, as well as manages the match relationships. She also provides individual therapy on the side, offering much flexibility in scheduling. Christine enjoys working out (Boot Camp especially), traveling, reading, friends, humor, and Summer! She serves as a volunteer Handler for St. John's Lutheran Lombard Comfort Dog Eve. Handlers and Eve visit nursing homes, schools, wakes, funerals, and special events where comfort and peace are needed. Christine lives with her husband, Michael, and two college-age sons. The family shares their home with two dogs: Ollie, a 130 lb. Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, and Kirby, a 15 lb. Chug. Guess who's the ruler of the house?

Christine Evans, LCSW focuses on the client's needs and personality in providing effective therapy, short or long term. Christine can help people identify strengths, improve self-esteem, alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety, lower stress, improve relationships, and provide insight as to why one is experiencing certain situations or emotions. We will start with immediate concerns and work toward better understanding of how and why one has ended up in a difficult situation. Christine is a laid back listener, with a sense of humor, providing expert guidance through sessions that leads to a more peaceful state of being as well as better understanding of what is happening. Relationships are very complicated. Christine enjoys working through the problems you experience in relationships with you. It's important to build yourself up to be prepared to face future difficulties, and Christine's goal is to make sure you are prepared. While Christine is compassionate, she doesn't allow one to stay stagnant. Be ready to change because Christine will challenge you to make yourself better. Now is the time to be empowered to be your best self!
