Hi, I'm Christine Golden, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of Golden Therapy.
I specialize in helping children, teens, young adults, and adults heal from trauma, anxiety, the lasting effects of difficult life experiences, and navigate new life difficulties. Whether you've experienced a traumatic event, have childhood wounds, difficult relationship patterns, chronic stress, or suddenly find yourself stuck in ways you cannot fully explain, therapy can help you find relief and create meaningful change.
With nearly a decade of clinical experience, I am passionate about helping clients move beyond symptom management and toward lasting healing. I have specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based treatment that helps individuals process distressing experiences and reduce symptoms of anxiety, overwhelm, fear, and emotional reactivity.
My work is rooted in attachment theory and trauma-informed care. I help clients understand how past experiences influence their emotions, relationships, self-esteem, and daily functioning. Many of the individuals I work with struggle with anxiety, panic attacks, people-pleasing, perfectionism, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, grief, or feeling disconnected from themselves and others.
In addition to my therapy practice, I supervise associate therapists pursuing licensure and serve as an expert witness in legal proceedings. I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers clients to heal, grow, and create healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, compassionate, and easy to talk to. When you work with me, you can expect a therapist who is fully invested in your success. You'll experience a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can openly discuss difficult experiences, emotions, and relationship challenges while feeling supported, understood, and guided towards healthy growth. I am active and engaged in your therapeutic process. Together we will identify patterns, challenge beliefs that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical strategies for creating lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
My approach begins with developing a clear understanding of your unique experiences, concerns, strengths, and goals. During our early sessions, we will explore what has brought you to therapy, identify patterns that may be contributing to distress, and create a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
As therapy progresses, I help clients build insight, emotional awareness, and practical coping skills while also addressing the underlying causes of their symptoms. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, I work to help clients resolve the experiences and beliefs that may be contributing to anxiety, relationship struggles, low self-worth, or emotional distress.
Depending on your goals, treatment may incorporate EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based interventions, trauma-informed therapy, and other evidence-based approaches. EMDR is often used to help clients process distressing experiences, reduce emotional triggers, and develop healthier beliefs about themselves and their lives.
Throughout the process, therapy is collaborative and individualized. We regularly evaluate progress, adjust treatment as needed, and focus on helping you achieve meaningful, lasting results. My goal is to provide both immediate support and long-term healing so you can move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being.

Ongoing session: $300-350 for 90 minutes
