23 Corporate Plz Dr, Ste 150, Newport Bch, CA
Christine holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Masters of Arts in Psychology with a Specialization in Counseling. Due to a calling to help others, Christine began her therapeutic work with a trauma population. As a clinician with over 10 years of experience, Christine is passionate about connecting with and supporting her clients through the most difficult times of their lives, offering compassionate and tailored care to promote resiliency and growth. Christine specializes in trauma work — from single and acute traumatic events to subtle or overt chronic traumatic events (including emotional stress/trauma within relationships) to long-standing exposure to traumatic events — and is adept in identifying patterns and "ways out" of emotional difficulties, including depression, anxiety, and fear that often come from identified and unidentified trauma. Christine's practice is grounded in attachment theory, which helps to deepen clients' understandings of themselves and how they relate to others. She incorporates different modalities including Humanistic and Psychodynamic approaches into her work. Christine has specialized training in evidence based treatments including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Seeking Safety Therapy. She utilizes these frameworks to provide treatment to individuals. She incorporates family systems considerations to treat families living in high-stress/high-conflict and trauma, including families/relationships involving personality disorders or difficult/dysfunctional personality traits. Alongside her therapy practice with clients, Christine serves as an Expert Witness in court proceedings to share her knowledge and experience. Christine supervises post graduate associates in the process of obtaining their licensure. She is also a long standing member in the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am very friendly, warm, and caring. I enjoy working with clients who are ready to have lasting changes and open to being self-reflective. I am always on your side and will challenge you to get where you want to be. I provide a safe environment for all of my clients to do deep, therapeutic work.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I specialize in helping children, adolescents, young adults, and adults heal from trauma, PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship challenges. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with nearly a decade of experience, I am passionate about helping clients move beyond simply managing symptoms and toward meaningful, lasting healing. Many of the individuals I work with are insightful, capable people who find themselves feeling stuck despite their best efforts. They may struggle with the effects of trauma, overwhelming anxiety, painful relationship patterns, low self-worth, or emotional wounds that continue to impact their daily lives. My goal is to help clients understand the root causes of their struggles, process unresolved experiences, and create lasting change. I utilize evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based interventions, trauma-informed therapy, and client-centered treatment. Therapy is tailored to each client's unique needs, whether they are navigating a recent life challenge or addressing experiences that have affected them for years. Clients often describe my style as warm, supportive, genuine, and insightful. I believe meaningful growth occurs when individuals feel both understood and appropriately challenged. I strive to create a safe, collaborative environment where clients can explore their experiences, gain deeper self-awareness, and develop healthier patterns in their lives and relationships. I am deeply committed to helping clients heal in areas where they have felt stuck or discouraged. Whether your concerns are straightforward or complex, I will stand alongside you throughout the therapeutic process, providing compassionate support, clinical expertise, and evidence-based care. Healing is possible. You do not have to navigate it alone. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward greater resilience, fulfillment, and emotional well-being.
