Christine Kirby, LCMHC

Christine Kirby, LCMHC

Psychotherapist
NC
Welcome! It can be intimidating to sign up for therapy, so I applaud you for being here! Currently, I have Saturday morning and early afternoon appointments available only. As spots open up, I typically have evening hours during the week. I am Christine Kirby, a Licensed Mental Health Therapist for the past 29 years. I graduated from New York University and have worked in various inpatient and outpatient mental health programs in my career. I primarily use a mindfulness-cognitive behavioral, trauma-informed approach to therapy. I enjoy working together with my clients to build on strengths and manage feelings of anxiety and depression, whatever the root cause. I am particularly passionate about helping young adults find their way in the world, working with parents who have children with special needs, couples counseling, healing from trauma, helping women through the menopause transition, and navigating family and career challenges. We will partner to help balance emotions and strengthen your relationships with yourself, family, friends, and coworkers. I value creating a space for you to openly discuss your feelings and experiences in a nonjudgmental setting that can help you better manage the stress of life.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
