Christine Mize, LCSW

Psychotherapist
MO
Hi there, I'm Christine! I am a licensed clinical social worker with 12 years of experience in the mental health field. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Southeast Missouri State University. Much of my background includes community mental health and school-based counseling services to teens for various concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, coping with substance abuse within the family, school avoidance, self-esteem, suicidality, self-harm behaviors, and more. In the last 5 years, I have added a specialty in processing trauma with adults and teens in private practice. My approach I utilize a strengths-based approach to develop client-centered goals that implement evidence-based practices of CBT or CPT based on the client's specific needs. My focus I treat PTSD, depression, anxiety, and processing grief in teens and adults. My communication style I strive to create a safe space where clients can be their authentic selves. Once a trusting therapeutic relationship is formed, clients can expect to learn ways to increase self-awareness in order to develop skills to utilize outside of session. I believe in the power of vulnerability to make meaningful connections, find acceptance, and hope for change.
