Christine Tucker, LCSW, MSW

Psychotherapist
2 North Main St., #202, Medford, NJ
I work with clients (many men) who feel stuck—mentally, emotionally, or in their relationships—even if things look fine on the surface. This can show up as overthinking, irritability, shutdown, lack of motivation, or repeating the same patterns without clear answers. Therapy with me is structured, direct, and focused on results. We look at what’s happening in the moment and work with it so you can understand your reactions and change them—not just talk about them. I use a combination of parts work, somatic approaches, and attachment-focused therapy to help you build clarity, stability, and stronger connections. This is a good fit if you want something real, focused, and not a waste of time.

Getting to know Christine Tucker

What should a new client know about working with you?

Sessions are active and focused. We won’t stay on the surface or just recap your week—we’ll work directly with what’s happening in the moment so you can understand and change your patterns. I’m direct and engaged, and I’ll guide you when needed to keep things moving. This isn’t passive or vague therapy, but it’s also not overwhelming—we go at a pace that allows real change to happen. You don’t need to prepare or perform. The work is about showing up honestly and being willing to look at what’s actually driving your reactions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We begin by identifying the patterns that are keeping you stuck—whether that’s overthinking, shutdown, reactivity, or relationship dynamics. From there, sessions are focused and active. We don’t just talk about your week—we work with what’s happening in the moment so you can understand your reactions and change them. This often includes slowing things down, noticing your internal responses, and working directly with them in session. I guide the process to keep it productive, while making sure it doesn’t become overwhelming. The goal is to build awareness, stability, and the ability to respond differently—not just gain insight.
