"Hello, I'm Chris, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience in the behavioral health care field. My journey in this profession has been deeply rewarding, and I am passionate about helping individuals and families navigate their mental health challenges. With graduate degrees in both clinical social work (MSW) and business administration (MBA), I bring a unique blend of skills to my practice, enabling me to create positive changes for my clients. I've also had the privilege of teaching these skills at the undergraduate and graduate levels, which has enriched my understanding and approach to therapy. I specialize in working with adults, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, anger management, and stress. Additionally, I provide support for overall better health and wellness, family relationships, and grief/bereavement. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, focusing on building a strong therapeutic relationship to foster growth and healing. I believe in the power of therapy to transform lives, and I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for my clients. In 1997, I founded Kids In Difficult Situations, Inc., a family-started corporation that offers outpatient behavioral health services to children, adults, couples, and families in Indiana, Florida and Ohio. Our practice is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective care tailored to each individual's needs. Outside of my professional life, I am an active outdoorsman and sports enthusiast. I enjoy distance running, marathon running, and competing in triathlons both statewide and nationally. Volunteering for numerous not-for-profit groups is another way I give back to the community. Being married for 28 years and a father of four has been the greatest adventure of my life, and it has profoundly shaped my perspective and approach to therapy.
