Christy Hunt, LPC/MHSP

Psychotherapist
377 Riverside Dr, Ste 302, Franklin, TN
What am I about? I have always felt passionate about mental health care, and I feel honored to have the opportunity to provide these services to people in need. I believe humans can thrive best when our environment allows us to have our basic needs met. For some of us, these needs were not met during very vulnerable early developmental stages, leading to problems with functioning later in life. I am grateful that our field now has access to highly effective treatments that can provide healing for these concerns. I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support individuals on their healing journeys. Our society rewards productivity, positivity, and popularity. This teaches our children and us that only these parts of ourselves are acceptable and worthy of being seen. I have always believed that we are so much more than this and that every part of ourselves is acceptable and every feeling, even sadness and fear, is valid. Finding peace and contentment is possible when we can hold compassion and complete acceptance of who we are and every facet of our unique selves. I believe every person can reach their full potential, and my goal is to be a guide on that journey and a source of hope and encouragement. Safety and compassion are so important when we begin this work together, and I am dedicated to helping you reach your goals. To learn more, review my available services and book a session today!
