Getting to know Christy Liger
Hello. My name is Christy Liger, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Barry University and have been providing therapeutic services for over 10 years. I have experience working with various organizations, offering clinical and medical social work services focused on children and families, dialysis patients, and individuals experiencing homelessness. I work with clients facing a range of concerns, including depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, polysubstance use disorder, and chronic or terminal illnesses.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Our initial assessment is more formal and an introduction of myself and services provided. I will conduct a thorough bio-psychosocial assessment and review informed consent to engage in therapeutic services. The next couple of sessions are more laid back and what I like to call "Get to know You" sessions. This is your opportunity to express your concerns (what's going on in your life), reasons for seeking treatment (how are the stressors in your life affecting you), and goals for treatment (what improvements/changes you want to see).

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
