Psychotherapist
MN
Congratulations on taking the first step toward a brighter tomorrow. As a solution-focused therapist, my priority is to help individuals and families effectively move through the challenges that life can bring. This practice utilizes evidence-based strategies to empower clients, build on their strengths, and support them in creating meaningful and lasting change. My approach My approach to therapy is non-judgmental, open-minded, and client-centered. Drawing on years of experience as both a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), I use a variety of evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities to strengthen each person’s inner resiliency. This flexible and inclusive style allows every individual and family to feel welcomed, supported, and actively engaged in their own healing and growth. My focus I have had the opportunity to provide counseling to individuals and families from all walks of life. I have worked with chronically substance-dependent and unoused individuals, as well as Fortune 500 CEO's. Every person is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. I enjoy working with diverse populations and have a passion for helping individuals who struggle with addictive behavior, mental health, and relational discord. My communication style As a systems therapist, I view clients within the context of their relationships with others and the world around them. Our lives are influenced not only by genetics but also by our environment and experiences. This perspective shapes my communication style, which is always non-blaming and free of shame, fostering a supportive and respectful therapeutic environment. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a mental health provider began in childhood, growing up in group homes that my parents operated in both California and Minnesota.
