I'm Christy Turnquist, a dedicated mental health professional with over twenty years of experience in human services, mental health counseling, and behavioral health. As the founder of Breathe, LLC, a clinical private practice in Florida, I focus on empowering clients to take intentional steps toward a balanced, healthier, and successful lifestyle. I hold a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management.
My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Faith-Based Therapy to guide clients in their healing journey. A two-time cancer survivor, I offer coaching through cancer, rooted in my belief in God's grace. My passion lies in promoting healing, self-love, and empowerment, especially within the BIPOC and LGBTQ communities, as well as improving children's mental healthcare.
I strive to be a pillar in my community, holding values of diversity, inclusion, and self-sufficiency close to my heart. Whether you're seeking support for mental health challenges or looking to embrace a more fulfilling life, I'm here to help you take that first step.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
