Getting to know Chrystal Hamilton-Dorelien

I work in a warm, collaborative, and thoughtful way, helping clients slow down, explore patterns, and make sense of their experiences with compassion rather than judgment. Therapy with me is not about quick fixes, but about building insight, emotional balance, and a stronger sense of agency. I work primarily with adults and young adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and the long-term effects of caregiving or high-responsibility roles. Many of my clients are capable, reflective people who feel stuck or disconnected and want deeper understanding of themselves. What’s unique about working with me is my integrative and creative approach. I draw from trauma-informed, attachment-focused, psychodynamic, humanistic, and mindfulness-based therapies, and I often incorporate narrative and Enneagram-informed work to explore the “why” behind patterns in a gentle, empowering way. I became a therapist through years of working closely with individuals and families impacted by trauma and complex life transitions. Outside of therapy, I value creativity, reflection, and meaningful conversations. I aim to offer a space where you feel seen, supported, and able to show up fully as yourself.
