Cindy Collins, LPCC

Psychotherapist
CA
I specialize in helping adults who appear to have it all together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck beneath the surface. You may find yourself overthinking, staying busy to avoid difficult emotions, struggling to trust others, or feeling as though insight alone hasn't led to meaningful change. Therapy offers a space to understand these patterns, explore their roots, and develop a different relationship with yourself. My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and collaborative. I integrate EMDR, parts work informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other evidence-based approaches to help you process difficult experiences, understand protective patterns, and build greater emotional awareness and connection. I believe meaningful healing happens when you feel safe enough to explore at your own pace, without pressure to share more than you're ready for. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, childhood trauma, or relationship difficulties, our work will be guided by your needs and goals. My intention is to help you move beyond simply managing symptoms toward lasting change, greater self-understanding, and a more connected way of living.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I focus on understanding how past experiences may shape your emotions, relationships, and patterns of coping today. In our first session, we’ll explore what brings you to therapy, what you hope to change, and what you need to feel comfortable in our work together. You won’t be expected to share everything at once or have all the answers. I’ll meet you where you are, at your pace, with curiosity rather than judgment. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and developing an approach that feels right for you.
