Hi there, I am Cindy Green-Smith. I am an experienced, empathetic, and compassionate licensed clinical social worker who works with adolescents through adulthood. I enjoy working with clients who are curious about themselves. I work most in the areas of anxiety, depression, ADHD, spirituality, grief, and aging. I enjoy being a part of the helping process as clients begin to explore and connect with themselves, reframe negative narratives, and create positive and empowering futures. My journey to mental healthcare started with the drive to learn more about grief after the loss of my husband. In doing so, I embarked on an education in social work, earning my Master’s in Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan University. From there, I began my journey in community mental health. My drive as an LCSW is to help folks overcome the challenges and stress that make life overwhelming at times. My approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and a strengths perspective. I work with a wide array of clients from adolescents through adulthood, focusing on anxiety, depression, ADHD, spirituality, grief, and aging. I strive to create a warm, empathetic, and safe environment for folks to process their thoughts, feelings, and struggles. I meet my clients where they are and help them realize their goals and potential by helping each individual find their strengths to reframe and achieve their goals. Clients should expect our first session to be one of getting to know one another.
