Getting to know Cindy Lambkin

I provide compassionate, culturally responsive therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationship concerns. As a Black Caribbean therapist and DSW candidate, I value creating a safe, affirming space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and rooted in helping clients better understand their experiences, build coping skills, and move toward healing, confidence, and emotional wellness.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. Together, we'll explore the challenges bringing you to therapy while building practical tools to help you manage life's stressors with greater confidence. I work from a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive perspective, recognizing that our relationships, culture, family dynamics, and lived experiences all influence our mental health. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, burnout, or a major life transition, we'll work together at a pace that feels safe and meaningful for you. My goal is to help you move beyond simply surviving so you can begin living a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with your values.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all, and neither is my approach. I believe every client has a unique story, so I tailor our work together to meet your individual needs and goals. Our first session focuses on understanding what has brought you to therapy, your life experiences, strengths, and the changes you hope to make. From there, we'll create a plan together and move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I believe in creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Throughout our work together, I'll help you identify patterns, develop healthier coping skills, strengthen your resilience, and build the confidence to create meaningful and lasting change.
