Citlali Lara is a Mexican-American Chicagoland native. She grew up in a diverse community which has impacted the way she views people and their problems. Citlali is always working towards meeting and understanding the cultural needs of her clients as well as understanding the impacts of trauma and life challenges. Citlali understands the impacts of childhood trauma, as she too is a childhood trauma survivor. Her Early childhood experiences have shaped her to gain interest in Social Work and serving people and communities. Citlali graduated with her Masters in Social Work from Lewis University in 2022 and later became a Licensed Social Worker. She began working with children in Chicago Public Schools immediately after. Citlali has experience in case management with students in grades Pre-K through 8, as well as foster care. She also loves working with children, adolescents and their families and her goal in therapy is to reduce symptoms and help others cope with life challenges and stressors that arise.
