I am passionate about supporting all my clients through challenges to experience healing and growth. My approach My approach is cognitive-behavioral and client-centered. My communication style I create a safe space for clients to express what is on their minds and ailing them. It's a place to release pent-up feelings and share what they may not have told others. I am laid back, calm, and relaxed, allowing clients to express freely without interruption. I offer advice and education when needed but let the client guide the session. My journey to mental healthcare From an early age, I wanted to help others but wasn't sure how. As a child of a single mother with mental illness, I learned to listen to the struggles of my mother and grandmother and offer advice when needed. Growing up, I became fascinated with the brain, how it works, and what leads to issues in perception, especially within the criminal mind. In college, I realized I enjoyed working with adolescents and young adults and wanted to help them achieve their best by changing how they think about themselves.
