Psychotherapist
23270 Burlingame Ave, Port Charlotte, FL
Hello, to introduce myself, I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. I became involved in counseling because my husband was a Vietnam veteran who suffered from chronic PTSD and, unfortunately, Agent Orange exposure. Initially, I wanted to work only with the Veterans Administration, but life presented other opportunities. I have worked in the Florida prison system, at a community counseling center, and had the pleasure of working with children, most of whom were in the DCF program. Children are incredibly resilient. I have worked with clients who have suffered from depression, anxiety, anger management, abandonment issues, ADHD, and trauma. For me, counseling is a way to help people reconnect to who they are and to encourage faith, compassion, sensitivity, and respect for themselves. I strive to develop an empathetic working relationship based on trust. It takes courage to reach out and ask for help, and change is hard but incredibly rewarding. Reach out and take the first step.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
