If you or your child has been through something painful, it can show up in ways that are hard to explain: anxiety that feels hard to turn off, mood swings, shutting down, conflict at home, or feeling on edge even when life looks “fine.” I work with adolescents and adults who are tired of feeling stuck in survival mode. Together, we’ll build practical tools for the present while gently making sense of the experiences that may still be affecting you. My approach is compassionate but active. I use DBT to build skills for intense emotions and relationships, EMDR to help process painful experiences, and CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, play therapy, and family therapy to tailor our work to your needs. I’ll meet you where you are while helping you move toward clear goals. I also offer Christian counseling for clients who want faith to be part of the healing process. Whether we are working through trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or relationship concerns, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel understood, empowered, and able to move toward the life you want to live!

What should a new client know about working with you?

I use DBT to build real skills for intense emotions and hard relationships, and EMDR to help you process painful experiences without having to relive them in detail. When it fits, I add CBT, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused work, and with younger clients I use play and family sessions, including parent coaching, so the whole household has tools. Therapy should ease what's happening now and make sense of what's underneath it. You set the pace.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is about getting to know you: what brought you here, what's been hardest, and what you hope will change. I see therapy as a partnership, so we'll set goals together and build a plan that fits your life, not a template. You don't need to have anything figured out before we start. If this sounds like a fit, reach out. I'd love to connect.
