Clare incorporates many styles of therapy into her personal technique. She builds from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as mindfulness-based, person-centered, and compassion-focused approaches. She explains, “What I love most about being a therapist is getting to witness people discover their own resilience and capacity for growth. I especially love helping people who feel deeply misunderstood or overwhelmed by their emotions, because I know how isolating that can feel. Being able to provide a space where someone feels seen, heard, and accepted, where they can explore their experiences without judgment, is incredibly meaningful to me. I also value approaches that honor nonverbal expression, including dance, movement, and other creative modalities, because there are many ways to express and process experience beyond words. It’s a privilege to support people as they uncover strengths they may not have recognized in themselves.”

Most relevant

During my session I was quite specific as to what type of therapy I was looking for. Unfortunately, Clare was not a good fit as she is somewhat inexperienced in assisting with some of my challenges, i.e., identity after retirement, relationship struggles.
