What should a new client know about working with you?

Seeking support can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 10 years of experience helping children, adolescents, adults, and families work through emotional, behavioral, and relationship challenges. I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, behavioral concerns, family conflict, parenting challenges, and difficulties related to school, relationships, and emotional regulation. Throughout my career, I have worked in community mental health, school-based programs, and telehealth settings, helping clients develop healthier coping strategies and stronger connections with themselves and the people they care about. My therapy style is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I believe every client has unique strengths, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Together, we will explore the challenges bringing you to therapy, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools to help you move forward. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while tailoring treatment to each individual’s needs, goals, and life circumstances. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, my goal is to help you build resilience, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and increase confidence in navigating life’s challenges. I am passionate about helping clients create lasting positive change and would be honored to support you on your journey toward healing and growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your individual needs. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences, concerns, and goals. During our first sessions, I focus on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and learning about the challenges you are facing. Together, we will identify your goals and develop a treatment plan that feels meaningful and realistic for your life. As we work together, I help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationship patterns while developing practical coping skills to manage stress, anxiety, depression, emotional distress, and life challenges. Depending on your needs, we may focus on improving communication, strengthening relationships, increasing emotional regulation, addressing behavioral concerns, processing difficult experiences, or building healthier coping strategies. My approach is active and engaging. I provide support and encouragement while also helping clients identify patterns that may be contributing to their difficulties. I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and tailor interventions to each client’s unique circumstances and goals. For children and adolescents, I often collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure treatment goals are supported both inside and outside of therapy. For adults and families, I work to strengthen communication, improve understanding, and build on existing strengths to promote lasting change. Throughout the therapy process, we will regularly review progress, celebrate successes, and adjust goals as needed. My hope is that clients leave therapy with greater self-awareness, stronger coping skills, improved relationships, and increased confidence in their ability to navigate life’s challenges.
