Getting to know Claudia Morona
Hi! My name is Claudia Morona. I am a licensed mental health counselor with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I have worked in the field of mental health for over ten years. During this time, I have gained a range of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have helped children and families with various concerns including abuse and neglect, domestic and sexual violence, medical trauma, postpartum depression, and general mental health issues.
I have training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Play Therapy, Filial Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Art Therapy, Brazelton Touchpoints, and Infant Mental Health.
Helping people meet their academic, professional, and/or personal/emotional goals while maintaining dignity and self-determination is my mission. I use a variety of treatment modalities to help alleviate and resolve symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, behavior, trauma, family issues, and more. I am passionate about working with adults, children, adolescents, teens, and caregivers who have experienced trauma to improve overall functioning in family systems and communities. I have provided therapy to individuals who have experienced grief and loss, witnessed domestic and community violence, medical trauma, abuse, and neglect. I have also worked with individuals who have social, emotional, behavioral, developmental, and learning concerns.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Claudia Morona is amazing. She contains all of the qualities listed above. She’s warm, shows empathy, however, she is also very direct while offering options and solutions. I have recommended her in various occasions to close friends. Therapy with Claudia has been overall a great experience.
