Claudia Ulwelling, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
My approach to therapy is to offer a safe and welcoming space for you to explore life challenges that you feel may be holding you back from your goals. My approach My therapeutic approaches are dependent on clients' individual needs. Solution-focused and Person-Centered Therapies are two modalities I have found to promote increased well-being. My focus I have experience treating clients with family conflict, grief/loss, life transitions, personal growth and transformation, spirituality, stress, and trauma. My communication style It is important in the therapeutic process that clients feel a sense of connection and trust with their therapists (aka a good fit). Once a trusting therapeutic alliance has been formed, clients feel unconditional positive regard and safe to process whatever issue is surfacing for them. My journey to mental healthcare I have a passion for working with people who feel ready to face challenges in their lives, that is, in the space of exploration, and have the desire to heal. My goals for you Setting goals is an essential part of the therapeutic process and is deeply personal to individuals. Goals are discussed and formed collaboratively during the process and can change/evolve over the course of treatment. My first session with you During our first session, we will spend some time collecting an intake, including what brought the client into therapy and what they would like to achieve.
