Claudine Doree is a Haitian-American mental health professional raised in Miami, FL. She attended Miami Dade College where she earned her Associates Degree in Psychology. After completing her Associates, she moved to New York to complete her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology at Long Island University. While living in New York, she worked with inner city youth as an Assistant Program Director for the Police Athletic League in Brooklyn, NY. She worked to bridge gaps between law enforcement and the community, improve leadership skills, and develop programs that support social and emotional skills. Claudine returned to Miami where she taught for two years within the Miami-Dade School District. She is an active member of her community and a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. Her passion to support families in her community has always been evident in the work she has done. She completed her Masters in Social Work at Widener University. She also completed her Registered Behavior Technician certification. Claudine provides individual, family therapy, couples therapy, and group counseling to adults, children above age 10, and adolescents. She has clinical experience across a variety of settings including outpatients speciality clinics, crisis intervention and large non-profits organizations. She views the counseling process as an alliance between client and therapist. Within the structure of the therapeutic relationship, she supports clients to access their inner strengths and promote change. Claudine uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psycho-Educational Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Reality Therapy and many more. Besides her many professional roles and experiences, Claudine is a mother of two boys who love to travel the world, cook, read and spend her quality time with family and friends.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I gently challenge clients to explore the root cause of their symptoms, gaining new awareness of their emotional and relationship patterns. At the same time, focusing on practical strategies, with an emphasis on relaxation and self-care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy with clients is viewed as a process together between the client and myself. Within the structure of the therapeutic relationship, my goal for each client is to support access to their inner strengths and promote change.
