Cleshawn DuBose, LPC

Psychotherapist
OK
Hi there, I'm Cleshawn! Learning, laughing, and connecting is what I do best. I'm open-minded and engaging, seeking to understand those hoping to be understood. I have a wide range of experience from community counseling to crisis inpatient hospitalizations. I love reading and music, so from time to time, a lyric or quote may find a place in the session. My therapy technique is integrative, allowing personalized treatment to be used and adjusted as needed. My approach My therapy style is conversational with an emphasis on solution-focused interventions; however, my technique is integrative, using the best treatment to address the problem and/or to meet the client where they are mentally or emotionally at the time. My focus My focus is on you, the client. I follow where you lead. I understand that by the time a client comes in, they have been sitting with and in their ?mess' for a while. My goal is to build rapport, trust, and a desire to continue talking. My communication style I am open, honest, and engaging. Our sessions are like sitting with a close friend. We will laugh, tell jokes, share stories, and be challenged. Counseling is a relationship with proper healthy boundaries. My journey to mental healthcare I've always been interested in people's experiences, and people always seem to talk openly to me and around me. I have such a rich, diverse history and life experience that it is a pleasure to work with and learn from my clients and their world. I have a natural curiosity that leads me to keep learning, studying, and bettering myself and my skill set. I hold a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern State University. My goals for you I identify what the client needs and what level of accountability partnership the client is willing to engage in and set goals accordingly.
