My name is Cletus (Clete) Deller and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (20+ years experience) who started out my professional career as a teacher. I use both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Action and Commitment Therapy, (ACT), and science-based protocols combined with Christian spirituality. I am NOT a Talk Therapist. The problem with talk therapy can be that after a few sessions, you find that you enjoy speaking to this person, but you do not have the basic concrete tools you need to address all of your concerns . Although we will certainly talk, my primary focus will be on providing rapid solutions and tools that will result in lasting changes in your life. Things that will provide more peace and less pain in your life. I have two Graduate Degrees (an MS in Psychology and Counseling, and an MBA), Post Graduate Certification in Forensic Psychology, and certification as a Sexual Therapist. I am strongly focused on treating trauma, addiction, and Narcissistic and Borderline relationships. I am trained and certified in the only evidenced-based scientific treatments recommended by the American Psychology Association for trauma, and I have additional certifications in Addiction, Anger Management, Anxiety, Complex Trauma, Grief, Narcissistic Abuse, and Borderline Treatment (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). I am a not a Christian counselor, but I am a Counselor who is a Christian. What that means is that I can use both scientifically validated approaches to solving mental health issues, and I can combine science and spirituality , if requested. I find the combination of science and spirituality particularly powerful. The goal is always to craft the right plan, for the person that is seeking help.
